I am fortunate enought to work full time as an artist creating contemporary art and so my studio space is incredibly important to me. It is the place where I sketch, draw, paint, experiment and share my lunch with my dog so it it has to be somewhere I feel inspired to be creative every day. My walls are adorned with my favourite art prints .
While I work, I listen to the radio, or play music (currently Muse's new album, Big & Rich and James Otto - country singers from Nashville). I even have a TV where I can watch (with one eye) my favourite episodes of Grey's, Dexter, Scrubs. Hattie, my little jack Russell, sits on her studio cushion and surveys the artwork in progress.
about my artwork

I am naturally drawn to strong colour and form and particularly inspired by Coral reefs and their fantastical patterns and textures. I introduce washes and interference medium
to my work to allow a layer of subtly to move in and around the canvas, creating surrealistic and abstract pieces.
